Who We Are

The Walhalla Heritage & Development League

Since 1945, the interests of Walhalla have been promoted and served by the Walhalla Heritage and Development League Inc., a voluntary group of enthusiasts dedicated to not only preserving the history of the township, but also advancing Walhalla’s future.

Memberships Welcome

Annual membership subscriptions cost only $20.00 for pensioners or students, $30.00 per single adult and $35.00 for families. Corporate or institutional memberships are also available for $50.00.

Members receive a quarterly newsletter containing news and historical information about the town and its surroundings, as well as invitations to periodic social and recreational activities that are conducted in and around the town, including the annual mountain-top cricket match.

Other privileges of membership include:

  • Free entry to the Walhalla Museum;

  • One hour of genealogical research;

  • Concession rates on tours run by the Heritage League; and

  • 10% discount on sale items in the Corner Store.

Participate in the WH&DL

The WH&DL meet once a month. Members of the public are welcome to attend the League's public meetings, which are held in Walhalla, at 10:00 am on the third Sunday of every month. If you would like to attend a meeting, please email secretary@walhallaheritage.com for details.
